We are pleased with the progress of the ongoing work at the reconstruction site of Omoku Main Market. The joint monitoring committee, consisting of the Omoku Council of Chiefs, the CDC, the youth body, the women’s group, and the Omoku Main Market Traders Association (OMMTA), led by Chairman Eze Obi Adah (Akogu) of the Omoku City Council of Chiefs, conducted a site inspection on Saturday, July 1, 2023, to assess the status of the work.

Chief Obi Adah, the team leader, expressed satisfaction with what they observed on the ground. He stated that the purpose of their visit was to evaluate the progress of the project and collaborate with the contractors to ensure that they deliver high-quality work for the benefit and optimal utilization of the people. He further expressed their contentment with the current state of the project and the quality of materials being used, acknowledging the exceptional work done by the contractors despite the rainy season.

They firmly believe that their aspiration of having a world-class market will soon become a reality. The committee took the opportunity to acknowledge and commend Bro Felix Amechi Obuah, also known as Go Round DSSRS, the Mbanabaragu of Orashi and Oso-Emeri of Ogbaland, who is overseeing the contractors. They praised his unwavering dedication to ensuring the project reaches its current level. They highlighted his commitment to the community and its people.

During the visit, they discovered that certain improvements were not originally included in the building plans by (Naoc). However, Obuah took the initiative to add these enhancements for the benefit of the people. The committee expressed their appreciation, love, and encouragement towards Obuah, urging him to continue his exceptional work. They believe that God will bless him abundantly.
