Nyesom Wike, the governor of Rivers, has said that his state will not cast a ballot for any party that disregarded the Saturday presidential election’s power shift from the North to the South.
The Governor declared that voters in the State would go to the polls in order to protect the nation’s unity, which could only be ensured by a change in political control.
Wike told the population of Rivers that they would use their ballots to preserve peace and unity and ensure inclusion in administration, describing the nation as diversity.
The Governor spoke on Saturday at the Captain Elechi Amadi Polytechnic’s Field, site of the state PDP’s Obio-Akpor Local Government Area campaign (PDP).
He applauded Governors who were chosen on the APC platform because they insisted that power must shift to the south
He said the APC Governors had by such gesture demonstrated their belief in the country’s unity and the need for every section to be given equal stake.
