Engineer Rauf Aregbesola and Uzor Kalu, the former governors of the states of Osun and Abia, have been removed from the new All Progressive Congress, APC, PCC, list that was announced on Wednesday. Following the controversy that marred the previously revealed list in September, the ruling APC released a revised list of its presidential campaign council on Wednesday. Rauf Aregbesola, a former governor of Osun State, was notable among those ousted from the ruling All Progressives Congress’s Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) (APC).
Remember that the first PPC list included names like Aregbesola, Nnamani, and a few others?
The triumvirate of Vice President Osinbajo, former SGF Babachir Lawal, and former House of Representatives Speaker Yakubu Dogara, however, were noticeably absent.
However, the first 422 lists were rejected in a letter signed by the APC chairman, Adamu Abdullahi. According to reports, this was done to appease and take into account the interests of some party bigwigs.
Ikechi Emenike, the party’s candidate for governor in the state, has taken the place of Uzor Kalu, the Senate top whip, and as a result, she is now the only Tinubu Campaign Coordinator for Abia.
Afegbua, the secretary of the public affairs directorate who was initially on the list, has been replaced by Gideon Obakahan.
